HealthChat’s Stressbusters

Don’t Sit On The Problem.

It is very easy to overlook the importance of posture and it’s relationship to stress. This is particularly the case with regard to sitting at a desk for instance.

Slouching or and leg-crossing while sitting lead to excessive spinal curvature which ultimately leads to back pain and feelings of stress.

Follow these points and prevent posture adding to your daily burden:

  1. When sitting ensure your back is well supported.
  2. Try to ensure your back is straight at all times.
  3. Get up and move around at frequent intervals and stretch.
  4. Ensure your work tops are at a comfortable height and everything is accessible without placing unnecessary strain on your back.
  5. At frequent intervals pamper yourself; go somewhere quiet and relax your body from toe to head – paying attention to relaxing all major muscle groups.
