Digest this for a Healthy Gut

Stress can play a big part in many men’s lives. The results on the body can be immense. Stomach and intestinal ulcers can be a direct effect of chronic stress, poor diet and overall lack of fitness.

Recurrent indigestion and stomach aches can be the first signs that something is amiss. Now is the time to act to prevent ulceration.

If the gut is a problem then it probably goes without saying that what you put into it has a big influence on its overall health. Small changes in diet can make a big difference:

  1. Eat only fresh foods.
  2. Eat lots of fruit and veg – at least 5 portions per day.
  3. Go for wholemeal foods rather than white, refined foods e.g. wholemeal bread versus white bread.
  4. Each day have a tablespoon of ground mixed seeds – sunflower, sesame, pumpkin, linseed. You can purchase bags at your local health store.
  5. Avoid rich foods.
  6. Aloe vera juice (100% concentration only) or Slippery Elm tea – both soothe the gut.
