Eating To Ease Arthritis

It goes without saying that healthy bones are essential. Keeping them in good condition and ensuring against the onset of diseases such as arthritis should be uppermost. However, if you suffer from arthritis the following nutritional tips may help improve your symptoms.

  1. Ensure your diet has plenty of fruit and vegetables – these have vital antioxidants.
  2. Eat oily fish at least twice a week – the essential oils they contain help lubricate joints and ease inflammation.
  3. Reduce the amount of dairy products – replace with soy milk or rice milk.
  4. Keep red meat to a minimum.
  5. Increase the amount of seeds e.g. sesame. Take these as a ground mixture. Again they contain essential fats.
  6. Consider taking fish oil supplements.
